What we are
Porteur Breads is an artisan bakery that specializes in pastries, sourdough, and specialty breads.
our story
Kyle Rogers is a self-taught baker from Iowa. He first ignited his love for baking at the farmer’s markets of his home state. Unwavering in his determination, he spent his nights meticulously baking one loaf at a time in his small kitchen until he had enough bread to walk over to the market and sell the next morning. When Kyle started his pop-up, The Bread Pedaler, out of the former Nomad Pizza in Fort Andross, he gained a small but loyal following, which propelled him forward in his founding of Porteur Breads.
Local Connections
We emphasize the importance of slow, traditional methods of baking and focus on sourcing local ingredients, including using freshly-milled, organic flour from Maine Grains in our croissants and Swan's honey in our Honey Walnut loaf. While the breads and pastries are the star of the show, they are also complemented by the Tandem coffee that we serve alongside it.
